UNIVERSITAS TEKNOKRAT INDONESIA WELCOME 103 UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FROM 59 UNIVERSITIES IN THE INDEPENDENT STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Last Thursday, September 21, 2022, 103 students participating in the Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) arrived at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia. The students came from 59 public and private universities outside Sumatra, such as Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua. This PMM program is one of the activities of the Merdeka Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM) which aims to open students’ horizons about various universities in Indonesia and provide opportunities for them to be able to take lectures for one semester at the destination college and be able to take courses according to their needs. specialization outside their program of study. In addition, students will also carry out Nusantara Module activities. This activity is oriented towards developing an attitude of tolerance and respect for the diversity of religions, cultures, ethnicities and races in Indonesia. In 2022, the PPM Program implemented is the second batch.

The arrival of inbound students at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia was divided into two waves. The first wave is in the range of 13.00 – 14.00 WIB and the second wave is at 16.00 – 17.00 WIB. Regarding this arrival, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia has prepared two pick-up trucks. When they arrived on campus, the team of lecturers and students at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia welcomed the students who had come and had conditioned the break room and prepared snacks. This is done solely to provide the best service. The Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. HM. Nasrullah Yusuf, SE., MBA. said that the inbound students who came were guests and therefore UTI would provide the best service.

On another occasion, the Vice Rector, Dr. H. Mahathir Muhammad, SE., MM. also said that services to inbound students include academic and non-academic services. Academic services consist of lectures, training, and mentoring. While non-academic form of dance training, outbound, and tourist visits.

Furthermore, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia also facilitated the Nusantara Module activities which were carried out by 5 lecturers, namely Dr. Afrianto, SS., M. Hum., Berlinda Mandasari, S.Pd., M.Pd., Auliya Rahman Isnain, S. Kom., M.Cs., M. Fithratullah, SS., MA., and M. Ghufroni An’Ars, S.Pd., M.Pd. Each Nusantara Module Lecturer has programmed a series of activities that include diversity, inspiration, reflection, and social contribution. This series of activities starts from September 2022 to January 2023. In addition to these activities, the lecturers also become mentors for inbound students related to academic fields, such as guiding selection and taking courses. (AF)
