News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents, Students and Staff,

The Ciputra Cup came to an exciting end on Sunday with all the finals being played. We enjoyed a lot of success with a first place, three seconds and three third place. More importantly the whole OSIS team demonstrated the energy, organisational skills and commitment to plan and operationalise a complex tournament consisting of sixty-five teams. We really appreciate their hard work as well as the innumerable staff who supported them over the past fortnight. Our next major event is the Model United Nations.

It was very pleasing to see so many parents (70) attending the PYP workshop on behaviour expectations. It is important that we as a community have very clear and transparent expectations about behaviour that builds upon the school’s values, mission and vision. Hand in hand with our expectations guidelines is our active teaching and encouragement of good manners as the basis of our interactions with one another. As we have said many times before it is important that parents and the school have clear and understandings and expectations as this enhances educational and social options for students. Please note that we post the content form these workshops on the website. Also note that this Wednesday, the first of February, we will have round two of the parents’ think tank. Please look out for the HS coffee morning too.

We are now only two weeks away from the important mock examinations for the grade 12 students. This is a critical opportunity for students to test their knowledge and understanding in an intense examination situation, to reflect upon the result and to modify their study regime appropriately.

It is great to see that Nadya and Aishwara have both moved to the finals of the “Youth Innovation Awards.”  We wish them all the very best for the final phase.

Have a great week.
