News from the Executive Principal’s Desk

Dear Parents, students, teachers and Sekolah Ciputra community,

Congratulations to the Ciputra Times team who have once again produced a wonderful digital newspaper for our community. It is an absolutely outstanding production showcasing a wide range of finely developed literacies. It is fabulous to sit back and read these well-written articles and enjoy reliving the activities that they are reporting on as well as the skills and talents of the writers and editorial team. It is a wonderful accomplishment.

The same can be said for the grade 11 entrepreneurship students who held a very successful (despite the incessant rain) entrepreneurship bazaar on Thursday. The student entrepreneurs once again showcased their talent in turning their ideas into products to be marketed. It is great to see the ongoing progress. Students and staff who took part in the Earth Day celebrations at Ciputra University on Friday and Saturday are also to be commended.

Congratulations to the grade 5 team for a very successful camp in Kaliandra. They had a fabulous time and learned a lot about themselves and each other.

The parent support group, (PSG) will hold their final public meeting (date to be announced) before the end of the academic year. This will provide an opportunity to find out more about this outstanding group, to think seriously about joining in some capacity, to thank the present executive team for their service and to welcome the new Executive for their two-year term. The PSG is an incredible asset to our school community.

The grade 12 students are now well underway with their diploma examinations. This also signals that we are entering the season where all grades will be undertaking their final summative assessments.  This is a time for academically rolling up our sleeves and aiming for the best results possible. Special thanks needs to go to the staff who have volunteered to supervise examinations during the holidays. We really appreciate the commitment.

Finally it is nice to see that OSIS have organised a chess competition this week. It is lovely to have a variety of different student led and organised activities.

Have a great week.
