Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia Prepares New Students to Become Academic Cadres of the Nation

Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia (UTI) held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKBMB) for the 2022/2023 Academic Year, Monday (19/9/2022).

The PKKMB UTI event was from the Faculty of Engineering & Computer Science, Faculty of Arts and Education, and Faculty of Economics and Business.

The Rector of Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, Dr. Hm. Nasrullah Yusuf, SE., MBA. said, with the PKKMB, it was hoped that UTI New Students would be ready to become academic cadres of the nation.

“We hope that Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia students can become academic communities and academic people to build the nation and state of Indonesia,” said Nasrullah Yusuf in his speech.

The activity, which was held from 19 to 21 September 2022, was aimed at providing debriefing for new students and introducing fellow students.

In addition, the UTI PKKMB also contains public lectures and the provision of material on culture, ethics, etiquette, and norms on the UTI campus.

Nasrullah also explained to the new students about the transition from life in high school to student life.

“Now you are entering a transition from high school to college students, when in high school we are expected to master certain basic sciences,” said Nasrullah.

“When we are students there are differences where we are required to master knowledge and translate and practice it,” he explained.

Nasrullah continued, his party is currently building a Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering to support UTI student learning activities.

Because according to him, technological developments are very important to support student learning.

“Hopefully this semester the Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering laboratories will be ready to support student learning,” said Nasrullah

“How can we be Sweden and Finland where they have the best education system in the world,” he added.

In addition, on this occasion Nasrullah Yusuf also gave awards to a number of student organizations.

“We give appreciation to these activists because during the last pandemic they helped carry out social services,” he said

In addition, Nasrullah also appreciated the actions of the Student Executive Board (BEM) which had conveyed the aspirations of the community to the Bandar Lampung DPRD regarding the increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM).

The reason, according to Nasrullah 100 UTI students expressed their aspirations in a different and more academic way.

“The UTI Student Executive Board has also just been accepted by the Bandar Lampung City DPRD to convey academically that it does not agree with the increase in fuel prices,” he said.

Not only that, Nasrullah also appreciated the participation of the Academic Community who had helped UTI in achieving many achievements, both academic and non-academic.

This is in accordance with the slogan of UTI, namely the Campus of Champions.

He also explained that UTI had even won ASEAN level achievements.

” Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia has a myriad of achievements,” said Nasrullah.

“We have just been ranked in the top 10 best private universities at the ASEAN level,” he added.

Furthermore, Nasrullah said that UTI was ranked 9 in implementing online education.

In fact, UTI has received the title as the best private university outside Java.

Nasrullah also said that some of his students even received scholarships abroad.

“Some of our students also received scholarships to study in Beijing, China, some were placed at the University of Missouri, America,” he said in front of 1,162 new students.
