Early morning on Wednesday 6th September 2023, Dean of Faculty of Humanities, UNIDA Gontor, met his colleague Assoc. Prof. Wan Suhaimi Wan Abdullah. He is the newly appointed director of Centre for Advanced Studies of Islam, Science and Civilization (CASIS), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Along with him were Associate Professor Dr. Khalif Muammar A. Harris; the former director of CASIS and Dr. Mohamad Hilmi Ramli.
As a leading institution in Islam, Science and Civilization, CASIS seeks to promote post-graduate scholarship and learning for the advancement of knowledge under the ambit of the Islamic worldview in full cognizance of relevant developments in other civilizations especially in the contemporary world. Considering this, Dean of Faculty of Humanities UNIDA Gontor, and his colleague concurred to proudly promote mutual collaborations between both institutions. Both came into line of comprehending concept of Islamization of Contemporary Knowledge with special emphasis on Political Science and International Relations (IR). As the issue had hardly received sufficient attention among scholars, both institutions would embark upon several strategic programs which include; sharing research roadmap and proposals on Islamization of Political Science and IR, collaborative research, guest lecturers on Islamization for UNIDA Gontor lecturers, entrusting prospective Ph.D students in CASIS, publication of books authored by UNIDA Gontor Lecturers in FUTUHAT publisher, Malaysia and the likes.
