A band of researchers from the Department of Finance and Accounting, Al Farabi Kazakh National University Kazakhstan made their first visit to UNIDA Gontor from 25 April – 1 May 2024. The visit led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurmagambetova Azhar Zeinullayevna, as the Head of Department of Finance and Accounting followed by her colleagues Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurgaliyeva Aliya Miyazhenovna and Kurbanova Karylgash Abdullayevna (PhD candidate ). This visit is in “reply” of the visit by the Rector of Unida Gontor last November 2023 that marked a potent development of bilateral ties between the two institutions.

During their visit, meeting with the Rector of Unida Gontor was recorded an immense momentum followed by several visits to witness first-hand production of bakery, site visit of cattle farm ( breeding and fattening), chicken and fish farm and others that were impressive and never dissipated.

Indeed, it was not merely a normal visit as they blitely concluded with a seminar that was held concurrently on 30th April 2024 at Gontor 1 and 3 for Female Campus respectively. The seminar entitled “Trends and Development of Islamic Finance: Issues and Challenges” was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fairuz Subakir as the Deputy Vice Rector of Student Affairs for Female Campus while Dr. Nurul Salis Alamin, M.Pd.I as the Principal of Gontor 3 Female Campus officiated the event. Meanwhile the speakers of this seminar were: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Akhmad Affandi Mahfudz, CPIF represents Unida Gontor while Assoc. Prof. Nurmagambetova Azhar Zeinullayevna and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurgaliyeva Aliya Miyazhenovna represent Al Farabi Kazakh National University Kazakhstan.

This courtesy visit creates a remarkable moment during their visit to Gontor 3 Female Campus as they blitely welcomed by some of the students at their dormitories, food stall, student activities and unveiled the chances of light conversation with the students and senior teachers.

Meanwhile, the students were also pleased to have them with close interaction and different atmosphere during their visit that can be seen from short talks after congregational prayer at Gontor 1 and 3 at their mosque respectively.
